| TELECOMMUNICATION TOWER |
| It is considered as the fourth of its kind in the world, for its huge size, various basins and fountains. It is located in the middle of Kuwait's Old Wall area next to the Ice Skating Rink. It includes three basins of different levels containing 220 fountains enabling the visitors to enjoy watching the colourful water dancing on the melodies of pleasant music. |
| An artificial island that was established next to Kuwait Towers. It covers an area of 785 thousand square meters with a diameter of half a kilometer and a contour of 3.140 meters. It is connected to the land through a passageway of 134 meters long.It was taken into consideration that the island will include all the entertaining facilities for different ages. Therefore a viewing tower of 35 meters high was built, plus a recreational castle for kids, provided with water trenches and three small waterfalls. The castle also has the 'spiral way', an ascending spiral path having the shape of a small circular hill. On the other hand, the island contains restaurants, another ideal service centers, which take the shape of a Roman amphitheatre. |
| It could be considered as an integral touristic city in terms of variety and arrangement. It includes 195 chalets (123 deluxe chalets, 48 studio flats and 24 royal chalets) which are provided with luxurious furniture and well equipped with the latest hotel accommodations.The resort also includes swimming pools, tennis courts, football, volleyball, basketball and shooting fields, in addition to a yachts club, a small entertainment city, and a hall for video games and computers. The Main Tower It reaches 187 meters high and it contains the Al-Ufuq restaurant, the "Le Cafe" coffee-shop and the Dasman hall for celebrations and private parties.The Tower also includes a rotating sphere (123 meters above sea level) with a full rotation around itself every 30 minutes, exhibiting different fantastic views of Kuwait for the visitors.The Middle Tower It has an altitude of 147 meters and contains a sphere - shaped water storage tank of one million cubic gallons capacity. | The Grand Mosque which cost KD 13 millions (about US$ 50 millions) is built on a total area of 45,000 square meters was inaugurated on 8th August 1986 by the Amir of Kuwait. This mosque is an example of different traditional Islamic architectural styles using modern construction technology.The Minaret soars 74 meters into the sky built in the Andalusian style.A 700 meters of the library area contains a large collection of reference books and rare Islamic manuscripts. The car park in the basement can accommodate some 500 cars. |

| In Kuwait there is no personal income tax and there are no property or municipal taxes, Government housing is available in certain cases to Kuwaiti's at nominal rents, Education for Kuwaiti's in Government schools is free. Kuwait is a welfare state, and many aspects of the inhabitants' needs are heavily subsidized. Water, electricity, petrol, and basic foods such as fish, milk, meat, rice, bread, are extremely cheap because of Government imposed price controls. Local telephone calls and medical care totally free. Although Kuwait imports most of its requirements, it does however produce it's own tomatoes, cucumbers and melons as well as other fruits and vegetables. In particular, it produces sufficient fish it can occasionally export supplies to other Gulf states. Dairy products and poultry are also locally produced. Supermarkets and cooperative societies are of excellent quality. Each residential area of Kuwait has its own complex of shops which include a cooperative society. Kuwait abounds with modern shopping centers selling a wide variety of consumer and luxury goods. | DHOW HARBOR The Dhow Harbor is in the Scientific Center.In the Harbor the largeste surviving Kuwaiti sailing ship from pre-oil era as well as five smaller dhows. The largest ship, Fateh-El-Khair, was a cargo ship while the five smaller dhows were pearl diving, cargo, and fishing vessels. There are several different examples of small dhows. The batteel, a replica, was built by Hasan Abdul Basoul for the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Science in 1998. This type of ship was used in deep sea trading during the 1830s. The sanbouk, also a replica, was a type of dhow used exclusively in the pearl diving industry. This ship was built in 1998, for the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Science, by Ali Al Sabagha. The smallest of the replica dhows is of the tashala type. This was a cargo transport vessel which was used to carry goods from the ship to shore. Materials which would be carried on this dhow would include building materials such as wood and coral rock. This type of vessel only was used in Kuwait and wa built in 1994 by Hasan Abdul-Rasoul, the builder of the largest dhow in the harbor, Fateh-El-Khair. |

| MESSILAH WATER VILLAGE
Considered as one of the most distinctive entertaining and touristic facilities in the State of Kuwait, this Village was inaugurated in late 1992 on a total area of 20 thousand square meters, and comprises a diversity of games, utilities and services, such as : 1 - Water slides : of different lengths and heights with water flowing through such as Noor Tower and Haneen Tower. 2 - Two water paths : one of them with sea waves shaped movements and is called The Artificial Waves, and the other has a circular form and is called Maraheb's River. 3 - Ehmedoh Volcano : one of the most significant landmarks of the Village and the first of its kind in Kuwait. It has a volcanic crater on its topside. 4 - The Water Theatre : 5 - For the first time in the Middle East, here is a whole water-village with it's buildings covered with bamboo and fireproof teakwood. 6 - Water Mist Spray : It was introduced for the first time in the Middle East, for the purpose of refreshing and minimizing high temperature. |

| BAYT Al-SADU An original landmark which tries hardly to preserve the traditional Kuwaiti handmade industries such as knitting wool, weaving, and tents making, It was established in 1979 in order to preserve and revive those handicrafts. | The ZOO The meticulously landscaped zoological garden was reopened on February 18, 1993 after two years of massive reconstruction and restocking. A delight to both adults and children, this place is not only for watching the animals, but is a center for education, preservation and propagation. Endangered species native to Kuwait are bred here. The education center offers everyone the chance to study first-hand exotic animals from around the world.Enjoyed by all, a train weaves its way among the tree shaded animal compounds.
